Ait Ben Haddou Tours

Ait Ben Haddou is a fortified village (ksar) of earth-built houses behind defensive walls, on the old caravan road across the High Atlas. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a few families still live inside it.

Walking through the ksar

A short walk takes you up through the narrow alleys to the top of the hill, where you can see the whole village and the valley around it. The ksar has been a film location for Gladiator and many other productions. Most guests visit on the way from Marrakech to the desert or on the way back.
