All of our tours are private. There is no seat in a shared minibus: you travel with your own driver-guide and your own vehicle, so the pace, the stops and the timing follow the group you travel with. Here is what that means and how to choose.

What private means here

  • Your own driver-guide, who speaks English and French, and your own vehicle for the whole route.
  • A route that is written out day by day on every tour page, so you can see each drive and each night before you write to us.
  • The freedom to change it: add a night in the dunes, drop a day of driving, swap the Atlas for the coast.

How pricing works

Because the vehicle and driver-guide are yours, the price depends on the size of the group, the dates, the route and where you sleep. We therefore quote each trip, and the quote lists what is included before you book. Send us your dates and numbers through the quote form.

Is a private tour more expensive than a group tour?

Per person it can be, especially for one or two travellers, because you pay for the whole vehicle and driver-guide. The price per person usually falls as the group grows. We quote for your group, so you see the real figure.

Can I travel as a couple, a family or on my own?

Yes. Private means the group is the people you travel with, whether that is one person, a couple or a family. Tell us the ages of children and any needs, and we plan around them.

Who guides a private tour?

Your driver is also your guide, and speaks English and French. Some tours add a local guide for a city or a trek, and the tour page says where.

Can I change the route?
