Erg Chegaga

Erg Chigaga (also spelled Chegaga) is a large dune field south of M’Hamid, in the far south of Morocco. You reach it by 4×4 or camel across open desert, so it gets fewer visitors than the Merzouga dunes.

Why people choose Erg Chigaga

The reason is the journey and the quiet: the drive down the Draa Valley, M’Hamid as the last town, then the track into the dunes and a night in a camp among them. • 3 day tour from Marrakech: a 4×4 tour with one night in a nomad tent in the dunes.
