Ten days lets you combine the desert with the mountains or the coast without rushing. Here are three ways to build a 10 day Morocco itinerary from our listed tours.

A 10 day Morocco itinerary gives you time for the Sahara, a second region and some rest. We do not sell one fixed ten-day package; the nearest listed route is the 11 day Grand Morocco tour. Below are three ten-day plans built from our listed tours, each starting and ending in Marrakech, so that you can see what ten days feels like before you ask for a quote.

Plan 1: the Sahara and the Atlas

Days 1 to 4: the 4 day Erg Chebbi desert tour, through the Dades and Todra gorges to the dunes of Merzouga. Days 5 to 7: the 3 day Toubkal trek from Imlil, with the summit of Mount Toubkal at 4,167 metres if conditions allow. Days 8 to 10: three days in Marrakech, with one or two day trips, for example the Ourika Valley and Essaouira, and a free day.

Plan 2: a deep Sahara crossing

Days 1 to 6: the 6 day Erg Chigaga desert tour, which goes by the Dades and Todra gorges and the Jebel Sarhro before turning down the Draa Valley to the Erg Chigaga dunes, and returns by Ait Ben Haddou and Telouet. Days 7 to 10: two day trips from Marrakech, such as the Essaouira day trip and the Agafay desert, and two quiet days. If you want a night in the luxury camp, the Erg Chigaga luxury camp page explains how to ask for it.

Plan 3: the coast, then the dunes

Days 1 to 5: the 5 day coast and mountains tour, through Essaouira, Agadir, Legzira Beach, Tafraout and over the Tizi n’Test pass. Days 6 to 8: the 3 day Erg Chebbi desert tour. Days 9 and 10: two days in Marrakech.

If you can add a day

The 11 day Grand Morocco tour covers Marrakech, Essaouira, the desert, Fes, Chefchaouen and Casablanca in one route, and is the compact first-time route across the country.

How we put ten days together

Each tour is private, with your own driver-guide and vehicle, and quoted for your group. Ask us to include the Marrakech nights in the quote, or arrange them yourself. Our guide to Marrakech in two days helps with the rest days. To change the plan, see Customized Trips; to start a quote, use the quote form. For a shorter plan, read the 7 day Morocco tour ideas.
