9 Day Camel Trek in Erg Chigaga is the longest of the Erg Chigaga treks we offer: seven days on camelback and seven nights in desert camps, going beyond the main dunes toward Lake Iriqui and the southern dune fields.
Days 6 and 7 lead through the deep desert, far from any road, before the return by a different route. If you prefer a shorter crossing, choose the 7 day, 5 day or 3 day trek.

Your driver takes you south from Marrakech through Ouarzazate and the oases of the Draa Valley to M'Hamid, where the trek will start. You sleep in our own camp, morocco-desert-camp.com.
You spend two days riding by camel into the Erg Chigaga dunes and sleep in a desert camp each night.
The next two days take you to the dry salt flats of Lake Iriqui and on into the dune formations of the south, with visits to nomad encampments on the way.
Two more days of trekking lead through changing dune landscapes, far from any road. The nights are spent in remote Berber camps.
The return begins by camel, on a different route through the dunes.
On the last day you are driven back to Marrakech and dropped off at your riad or hotel.
